Policy prompts are bits of feedback the lender has chosen to incorporate into the application forms. As you go through your application, you will notice information appearing in the form or in the Application warnings box in the sidebar.
The lender chooses what is shown and when, depending on their lending criteria and the product you have chosen.
Here are some examples:
Required Field
Required fields are represented with an asterisk (*) next to the field title, these must be completed before you are able to submit an application.
The lender has chosen to make these fields mandatory. You won't be able to submit an application if you have required fields that are incomplete.
Information Prompt
Some prompts will provide useful information, or provide you with information on how the case may be assessed.
at the bottom of the application form, there will be a policy guidance section:
Tip Text
There will also be 'tip text' for some fields throughout the application forms, this is to provide help on fields that may require further clarification or guidance on what is required.
Hard Stop Prompt
Lenders also have the ability to block certain applications from being submitted if certain policy restrictions are not met. These also appear in red.
The Check & Complete section of the form collects these warnings together too
This section will also tell you all the remaining required documents and fields before a form can be submitted. These are clickable links so that when you click on them, it will take you to the part of the application with the missing or incorrect field.
