I can't submit an application

What to check if you can't submit an application.

With the application portal, lenders have the ability to block applications for two main reasons.

The first is that the application form might be missing critical information for the case to be properly evaluated. To see if you have missed any essential fields, head to the "Declaration" section by clicking the menu bar. Or scroll to the bottom of the application form.

You'll then be able to see all the missing fields and warnings related to the current application in one summary box. Here's an example where there are required fields that are incomplete. You will not be able to submit an application if a required field is empty.

Each of the required fields in the 'check and complete' section will be clickable links that will take you directly to the field that needs completing when you click on it.

Hit refresh to make sure all the most recent warnings have loaded correctly.

Policy Restrictions:

The second reason why you might not be able to submit an application is because your case would be declined by the lender. Certain policy rules are built into the application form to ensure they broadly fit within the lender's criteria.

Any policy restrictions will show up in the 'policy guidance' section on the 'Application guidance' column to the right hand side of the application form:

If you think warnings are showing up incorrectly please refresh the page and try again. If something still doesn't seem right, please let us know via the live chat in the bottom right corner.

If you think you should be able to submit this application, but the policy warnings are accurate for your client, we suggest you get in touch with your BDM to discuss the case further.
