Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account to keep it secure and prevent phishing attempts.

One-factor authentication is what you're used to – entering a secret password (something you know) to access your account so we're sure that it's you. But if you reuse a password on another site, or that password is compromised (such as through phishing), your account can be compromised.

Two-factor authentication involves adding a second factor to your account: usually something you have that only you have access to. On Mast, you use an authenticator app that generates a secret code which changes every 30 seconds. That means that if your password is compromised, an attacker cannot access your account because they don't have access to your secret code.

Enabling two-factor authentication is strongly recommended.

Enabling two-factor authentication

Log into your Mast account and choose Account > Account settings.

Click Enable Two Factor Authentication and follow the instructions. You'll need a smartphone with an authenticator app installed like Authy (iOS, Android) or Google Authenticator (iOS, Android).

During this process you'll be given a set of recovery codes – keep these safe. If you lose access to your smartphone, you won't be able to log in and will need to use one of your recovery codes.

Disabling two-factor authentication

Click Account > Account settings and choose Disable Two Factor Authentication.
